There are millions of different viruses that you can get on your PC by just browsing the internet. You can install paid AntiVirus applications like Norton and McAfee or you can use some of the free ones like AVG or my personal favorite, Microsoft Security Essentials plus a firewall to fend off malware and STILL your PC can become infected. So why would you unintentionally/intentionally install/execute a malicious application right on your PC yourself? Your computer is a precious resource that should be handled with care. Removal can be costly. There is no faster way to infect your computer with trojans than to use peer to peer applications like Limewire and Kazaa or Torrents. They are filled with them. I would say about 40% of all your precious mp3′s that are downloaded have trojans in them. Some lock down your PC. Some steal your personal info. IT’S NOT WORTH IT! Plus, you could receive a letter from your Internet Service Provider “asking” you to cease and desist such downloads. If you continue, they could pass your information along to authorities who check on such things and you could be fined huge amounts per song.
Using them could void your service contract with your PC Repair Company as well.
